Literacy events:

WERD Network's community of writers complete tasks in a disciplined yet supportive manner. 

Participants learn to set specific goals with autonomy.  Sharing occurs for self-accountability and celebratory purposes. Attendees learn to encourage themselves and others by sharing challenges and nuggets of wisdom that come from experience. 

The literacy events are intended to provide a conducive environment for productivity. There are also opportunities for developing professional relationships, and for sharing our experiences, which is particularly important in the, often isolated, experience of being a writer.

Participation in the events is voluntary. You need only make a commitment to yourself. There are no 'requirements' other than upholding WERD Network values, particularly around respect, equity and ethical participation.
